I’ve been getting a lot of nudges from the universe to follow my dreams lately, which include focusing more time on my shamanic work and preparing for the launch of my first book.  Some of the nudges have been gentle, and others, quite frankly, have been pretty much “in my face” – which I’m sure was to make sure I didn’t miss the message.

I’ve been holding myself back, out of fear.  Fear of failure, fear of lack, fear of ridicule over what I wanted to do.  The typical, base of the Maslow pyramid kind of stuff.  I let the universe know my fears and said that I needed these things taken care of for me.

The universe responded almost immediately with some options that I never would have thought of on my own.  People and opportunities began coming out of the woodwork for me.  It happened so quickly that my head was spinning.  It felt so right that I knew I needed to take action.

And so I took a major leap.  I resigned from my day job and accepted some independent contractor roles that will give me more flexibility to pursue my dreams.

I’m not going to lie.  It was scary as hell. But I know that if I don’t follow my dreams I am going to regret it for the rest of my life.  And deep down, I know that I am taken care of by the universe.  The right people, opportunities and things will come into my life as needed.

All I have to do now is trust and follow my dreams…I’ll keep you posted!
